Stayed at the George and Dragon Friday 20th April 2012, for two nights with partner and four year old.
Had seen the website and was rather sceptical...how wrong can you be ! Warmest of welcomes, spotlessly clean, with wonderful staff who did everything to accomodate our needs without question and with a smile. The best breakfast I have had in any place I have stayed. Run like clockwork, with professionalism and rightful pride. Lovely..thank you and your team so much, we will be back !

We had a great time at the George & Dragon. Excellant food and a nice cosy bar with a coal fire and great ale, My wife being disabled we were exploring by car rather than walking but the village people were friendly and interested in you. They also catered for the walkers and more energetic. We were within easy driving distance of many attractions and the roads were relatively quiet in March

Enjoyable stay
We spent a very comfortable night at the George & Dragon - room was clean and comfortable and well worth the price we paid. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant the 16oz gammon had to be seen to be believed. There is a good selection of cask ales at a fair price. The breakfast was excellent and we went home very contented. Would recommend it to all and intend to visit it again ourselves.

Good Value
Got a laterooms deal. Very friendly welcome and helpful staff during our stay. Room was generally very good apart from noisy bathroom door. Toiletries could have done with an upgrade. Also, there was general noise from within the hotel . I think our room was over the bar.
Breakfast very good...cooked to order.

Review of George and Dragon
We have stayed several times and always enjoyed it. Lovely little pub with log fires and a good atmosphere. Rooms are small, but clean, with all amenities,etc, and some little niceties that you have to pay extra for elsewhere, such as bottled water.
The food has always been good but this time it was excellent, Friday was Fish and Chip night, what better with a few pints of really good local beer.
