Great value and helpful staff. Roaring fire in the hearth, and landlord ready to offer helpful advice on the range of local beers and ciders. We stayed in room 9 and whilst we had seen earlier reviews suggesting that one or more rooms were in need of a refresh, our room was both clean and well decorated. Good comfortable night's sleep, and the breakfast was as good as other reviewers indicated. The village itself is idyllic and the dale alone is worth a visit - we will return!

Great Weekend Escape
This is the best place I know where you can just get away from it all and just relax. The George and Dragon is clean, warm and friendly. I have stayed here many times before and I know I will be back again soon.

Valentine Break
Had not been to Dent for 10 years, and had forgot how quaint it was. You approach the cobbled street, like stepping back in time.
The Hotel is in the centre of the village, and is owned by Dent Brewery, so has a wonderful selection of real ales. When we arrived the fire was roaring, and we were shown to our room by a lovely girl.
The room was a very nicely appointed room, with a large bathroom, with bath and shower. The bed was really comfy, and there was ample amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits.
We went to a quiz that evening at a nearby pub, and did terribly !! After a good nights sleep we went for breakfast, and were pleasantly surprised by the good selection, of fruits, juices, yoghurts, and followed by a hearty full English, which set us up for a long walk in the beautiful Dentdale Valley.
We will not leave it 10 years till we return.

on arrival at the George and Dragon we were shown where the car park was and our bags carried up to our room which was clean tidy and warm plenty of towels very comfortable beds and hot water choice of real ales was excellent as was the menufor the evening meal, the breakfast was whole and hearty a great choice very well pleased
