Excellent base for exploring the Western Dales
Stayed here whilst walking for a couple of days around Dentdale and the book town of Sedburgh. Lovely corner room with a view of the charming cobbled village street and the hills beyond. Excellent range of beers in the pub (around four real ales and two stouts on tap). Good home-cooked food in large portions - perfect for after a walk in the hills.

YOU MUST STAY HERE. SPOT ON
Dent is a very quiet and pretty village. The George & Dragon what a great place to stay. Great Food. Great Ale and all the team go out there way to make sure you are looked after. The Bar, Restaurant and rooms very very clean and relaxing. We stayed with our Golden Lab Brook and she was really made to feel welcome. Will go back again soon. Thanks for a great 2 days

Thoroughly enjoyed our night in beautiful Dent. The room was excellent, all food was first class, the welcome was warm and the beer went down a treat. We will recommend you to family and friends.

Have just spent over a week staying in the George while installing the bells across the road in the church.
Our stay was fantastic, the staff could not have been more helpful with our every request. Great food, too much beer oh dear

just stayed at the dragon and loved very minute of it food was good vaule and the beer was so good took some home with me. the room were clean and well kept even this late on in the season clean sheets and nice towels
