The village of Dent is situated 10 miles from junction 37 of the M6 motorway; approximately 15 minutes from the market-town of Sedbergh if travelling by car.

You can also get to Dent by the Settle to Carlisle Main line Railway. Dent Station is just 4 miles from the village, just outside the hamlet of Cowgill.
